Demonstration of Teledyne Odom MB1 Multibeam Echosounder System

Seafloor Systems, Inc. hosted a demonstration of the newly introduced Teledyne Odom MB1 multibeam echosounder system on their 23-foot work vessel in Folsom Lake. Michael Redmayne from Teledyne Odom was on hand to assist with the installation and training of the Seafloor personnel on the new system as well as to demonstrate the system to potential customers. The system was center-mounted on Seafloors Catamaran platform for optimal performance and was interfaced to an Applanix POS MV Wavemaster system. Also provided by Odom and demonstrated was their new DigiBar S Sound Velocity Profiler unit. The system featured a rugged stainless steel design, autonomous data collection, and the ability to export data in Hypack format for ease of use during the post-processing phase. Attendees included the California Department of Water Resources, The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), Environmental Data Solutions, Inc., and Leviathon Surveying.

Hydrolite-MB™ Multibeam Echosounder System

Seafloor Systems, Inc., El Dorado Hills, CA delivered a Hydrolite-MB™, portable, turnkey multibeam echosounder system to the NC State University Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering. The Hydrolite-MB™ incorporates a multibeam echosounder and ancillary devices on a portable, pre-calibrated pole mount system. The advantages include its lightweight design for ease of portability, pre-calibrated mounting of sensors, and its turnkey implementation, requiring no additional hardware or software to operate.

Seafloor Systems was formed in Portland, OR in 1999 by veteran Naval Hydrographer John Tamplin and are the designers and manufacturers of the Hydrolite-TM™ portable singlebeam echosounder system.

NOAA Testing and Implementation of a Portable Sonar System

The SonarM8™ Echosounder

The SonarM8 BT echosounder, the sister to the Sonarmite BT has been released. The SonarM8 is identical in functionality to the Sonarmite except that it sports a Wall Mount Enclosure and 12-volt DC power input making it ideal for long term installations. The SonarM8 can be supplied with either a thru-hull or transom mount transducer.

California Land Surveyors Association, Sacramento Chapter is having a vendor night on September 1st 2011 from 5-8PM in El Dorado Hills CA, at Pete's Pizza.

The goal of the California Land Surveyors Association is to promote and enhance the profession of surveying, to promote the common good and welfare of its members, to promote and maintain the highest possible standards of professional ethics and practice, and to elevate the public's understanding of our profession. Seafloor Systems, Inc Expanding Lease Pool

Seafloor Systems Inc continues to expand the lease pool for Multibeam Echosounders; the POS-MV Wavemaster and the Reson 7125-SV2.

The POS-MV Wavemaster provides the functionality of a GPS receiver, gyrocompass and conventional motion sensor in a single, user-friendly, turnkey solution. POS MV computes a complete set of parameters including latitude, longitude, altitude, heading, pitch, roll and heave.

The Reson 7125-SV2 offers single portable sonar control interface and processor. Allows single or dual-frequency operations to ensure operational flexibility. Variable swath coverage up to 128 degrees to a maximum range of 500M.
